Tuesday Review

The day started badly by watching the text race commentary on the racingpost website in the library praying that my flutter had been withdrawn with the lack of mention in the feed. No he just came last! The last run obviously took a lot out of him instead of improving the horse. When Barcelona went 1 down I thought it could have been the start of a disastrous day, however Messi turned the heat on and they quickly turned round the deficit as the makeshift Arsenal faltered under continued pressure. Mt first scorer bet also came in thank you to Theo Robinson and sent Huddersfield on the way to a good home win with a brace.

Considering that the Theo bet wasn't declared in the morning, my total is +1.

Tomorrow morning will put up my bets for the day.

  1. Hi there,

  2. Hi Rich,

The Hills team have a had a slowish start, espeicially considering they tend to start the season quite strongly. With these early flat races I tend not to get involved too much as with the lack of form there tends to be quite a few turn ups. Tastahil has every chance but I don't think it quite gets the trip, much prefer the horse over 1 mile 4. However it should come on for its last run at Doncaster. Opinion Poll is the obvious alternative if it redsicovers its Ascot form but once again my need a run and with those question marks 13/8 is not a price I'm willing to get involved at. My bet for that races is a small e/w on Montaff, at 16-1 he should be nice and fit following its exploits in Dubai and goes well in Soft Ground.

    Be lucky!

  3. Dear punters medium,

As a keen follower of Manchester United I was wondering primarily who you think will go through once both legs have finished and what your decent bets are for the 1st home goalscorer as they will probably rip a moderte Baern Munich team to shreds at home with Evra and Neville having Ribery and Robben in their back pockets,

  4. I'm not sure about paddy evra and Neville keeping those two in their pockets. Think its a very tough game to call and in my opinion no great punting oppurtunities. United should do enough to get through with their great pedigree in the competition but I'm not convinced that they will do enough without Rooney. Maybe if forced into a bet would look at a United 1-0 to take them through with a centre back to score through a set piece maybe Vidic. But I'll be keeping my money in my pocket.
